What are the conditions favourable for tea cultivation?1. Warm tempera...
Tea is a tropical and sub-tropical plant that grows well in certain conditions. The conditions that are favourable for tea cultivation are:

1. Warm temperature: Tea plants grow well in warm temperatures between 20°C and 30°C. They do not tolerate extreme temperatures below 13°C or above 36°C.

2. High rainfall: Tea plants require a lot of water to grow. A minimum of 1500 mm of rainfall per year is required for tea cultivation. The rainfall should be well distributed throughout the year.

3. High altitude: Tea plants grow well at high altitudes between 600 and 2000 metres above sea level. At higher altitudes, the temperature is cooler, and the air is thinner, which is suitable for the growth of tea plants.

4. Sloping land: Tea plants require well-drained soil. Sloping land is ideal for tea cultivation as it allows for good drainage and prevents waterlogging.

Therefore, the conditions favourable for tea cultivation are warm temperature, high rainfall, high altitude, and sloping land.
