1. Hydrocarbons are organic compounds that are made of only hydrogen and carbon atoms.
it's categories :- 1) Saturated hydrocarbons:
Hydrocarbon's having single C−C bond are called alkanes (saturated)
ex. methane, ethane
General formula CnH2n+2
*2) Unsaturated hydrocarbons*
These compound consists double or triple bond between carbon carbon atoms.
C=C are called alkenes.
C≡C are called alkynes.
3) Aromatic hydrocarbons :
These are also called as arenas. Arenes are compounds which contain at least one aromatic ring.
