Given information:
- A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H are sitting around a square table facing the centre.
- Four of them sit at four corners of the square while four sit in the middle of each of the four sides.
- A sits second to the right of F, who sits in the middle of one of the sides of the table.
- G sits second to the right of D, who does not sit at any of the corners of the table.
- Only two people sit between D and B (taken from one side).
- C is not an immediate neighbour of G.
- H sits second to the left of B.
- E is not an immediate neighbour of G or F.

To determine the position of F with respect to C, we need to first determine their positions around the table. Let us consider each statement one by one.

From statement (a), we know that A sits second to the right of F, who sits in the middle of one of the sides of the table. This means that A and F are diagonally opposite to each other, and F must be sitting in one of the middle positions.

From statement (b), we know that G sits second to the right of D, who does not sit at any of the corners of the table. This means that G must be sitting in one of the corner positions.

From statement (c), we know that only two people sit between D and B (taken from one side). Since D is not sitting at any of the corners, B must be sitting in one of the corner positions. Therefore, D and B are diagonally opposite to each other.

From statement (d), we know that C is not an immediate neighbour of G. Since G is sitting in one of the corner positions, C cannot be sitting in any of the adjacent middle positions. This means that C must be sitting in one of the corner positions.

From statement (e), we know that H sits second to the left of B. Since B is sitting in one of the corner positions, H must be sitting in one of the adjacent middle positions.

From statement (f), we know that E is not an immediate neighbour of G or F. Since G is sitting in one of the corner positions and F is sitting in one of the middle positions, E cannot be sitting in any of the adjacent positions to G or F. This means that E must be sitting in one of the corner positions.

Putting all the information together, we can draw the following diagram:

G A

E B

D F

C H

From the diagram, we can see that F is sitting immediately to the left of D and two positions to the right of C. Therefore, the position of F with respect to C is immediate to the left, which is option (d).
