Which of the following is not true for a properly biased transistor?a...
The characteristics of a properly biased transistor are:

Current Amplification
A transistor can work as a current amplifier. When the base-emitter voltage is applied, the transistor allows the current to flow through the collector-emitter circuit, which is proportional to the base current.

Voltage Amplification
A transistor can work as a voltage amplifier. When a small voltage is applied to the base-emitter junction, the transistor will allow a larger voltage to pass through the collector-emitter circuit. This is known as voltage amplification.

Switch
A transistor can work as a switch. By applying a small voltage to the base, the transistor can control a larger current flow through the collector-emitter circuit. This can be used to turn on or off a load.

Rectifier
A transistor cannot work as a rectifier. A rectifier is a device that converts AC to DC. A transistor is a semiconductor device that can control the flow of current, but it cannot convert AC to DC.

Hence, option D is the correct answer as a properly biased transistor cannot work as a rectifier.
