Materials Required:
- Resistor
- Ammeter
- Voltmeter
- Connecting wires
- Power supply

Procedure:
1. Set up the circuit as shown in the diagram, with the resistor connected in series with the ammeter and voltmeter.
2. Turn on the power supply and adjust it to a suitable voltage.
3. Record the current (I) and the corresponding potential difference (V) across the resistor.
4. Repeat step 3 for different values of current, ranging from low to high.
5. Calculate the resistance of the resistor using the formula R=V/I.
6. Plot a graph of V against I using the data collected in step 3. The slope of the graph is equal to the resistance of the resistor.

Observations:
As the current passing through the resistor increases, the potential difference across it also increases. The resistance of the resistor can be calculated using the formula R=V/I, where V is the potential difference and I is the current.

Conclusion:
The potential difference across a resistor is directly proportional to the current passing through it. By plotting a graph of V against I, the resistance of the resistor can be determined.
