Assertion and Reason Type Questions:

Assertion (A) : Normally, your money cannot buy you a pollution-free environment or ensure you that you get unadulterated medicines.

Reason (R) : Money may also not be able to protect you from infectious diseases, unless the whole of your community takes preventive steps.

Explanation:

The given assertion and reason both are true. However, the reason is the correct explanation of the assertion. Let's understand why:

Assertion (A) is correct because money cannot always ensure a pollution-free environment or unadulterated medicines. For instance, if a factory is polluting the environment, then even if one has enough money, they cannot buy a pollution-free environment. Similarly, even if one has enough money, they cannot ensure that they are getting unadulterated medicines, as there are cases where medicines are adulterated for monetary gains.

Reason (R) is also correct because infectious diseases can only be prevented if the whole community takes preventive steps. For instance, if only one person in a community takes preventive steps, but others do not, then it is still possible for the disease to spread. In such cases, money cannot protect an individual from infectious diseases.

Hence, both the assertion and reason are true, and the reason is the correct explanation of the assertion. Therefore, the correct option is (A).
