Number of moles of CO2 = mass / molar mass
= 0.147 / 44
= 0.00335 mol

2. Calculation of moles of H2O produced:

Molar mass of H2O = 2(1) + 16 = 18 g/mol

Number of moles of H2O = mass / molar mass
= 0.12 / 18
= 0.00667 mol

3. Calculation of moles of carbon in the compound:

Number of moles of carbon = number of moles of CO2 produced
= 0.00335 mol

4. Calculation of moles of hydrogen in the compound:

Number of moles of hydrogen = number of moles of H2O produced x 2
= 0.00667 mol x 2
= 0.01334 mol

5. Calculation of moles of oxygen in the compound:

Number of moles of oxygen = (mass of compound - mass of carbon - mass of hydrogen) / molar mass of O2
= (0.2 - 0.00335 x 12 - 0.01334 x 1) / 32
= 0.005663 mol

6. Calculation of percentage of oxygen in the compound:

Mass of oxygen = number of moles of oxygen x molar mass of O2
= 0.005663 x 32
= 0.181 g

Percentage of oxygen = (mass of oxygen / mass of compound) x 100%
= (0.181 / 0.2) x 100%
= 90.5%
