    Calculation of Maximum Possible Reduction during Rolling

    Given data:
    Roll diameter, D = 200 mm
    Coefficient of friction, μ = 0.1
    Thickness of plate, h = 250 mm

    Formula:
    Maximum possible reduction, Δhmax = (1/2) μD

    Calculation:
    Substituting the given values in the above formula, we get
    Δhmax = (1/2) x 0.1 x 200
    Δhmax = 10 mm

    Therefore, the maximum possible reduction during rolling of a 250 mm thick plate is 10 mm.

    Answer:
    The correct answer is between '0.9,1.1'.
