Rotation of Coil to Generate Induced EMF and Current



  • X-Axis: If the coil is rotated around the X-axis, the magnetic field and the area vector of the coil will remain parallel to each other. Therefore, there will be no change in the magnetic flux and no induced EMF or current will be generated in the loop.

  • Y-Axis: If the coil is rotated around the Y-axis, the magnetic field and the area vector of the coil will be perpendicular to each other. This will cause a change in the magnetic flux and an induced EMF and current will be generated in the loop.

  • Z-Axis: If the coil is rotated around the Z-axis, the magnetic field and the area vector of the coil will remain parallel to each other. Therefore, there will be no change in the magnetic flux and no induced EMF or current will be generated in the loop.



Therefore, to generate an induced EMF and current in the loop, the coil should be rotated around the Y-axis.
