Total number of workers in the company = 1650
Ratio of male to female = 86: 79
Therefore,
Number of males = 1650 / 86 + 79 = 860
Number of females = 1650 - 860 = 790
Number of males in the production department = 198
Number of employees in the marketing department = 0.18 x 1650 = 297
Ratio of male to female = 5: 4
Number of males = 297 / 5 + 4 = 165
Number of females = 297 - 165 = 132
Number of males in the finance department = 77
Number of females in the finance department = 77 x 5/7 = 55
Number of males in the HR department = 77 x 2 = 154
Number of males in the R&D department = 860 - 198 - 165 - 77 - 154 = 266
Ratio of male to female in the R&D department = 14: 19
Therefore, the number of females in the R&D department = 266/14 x 19 = 361
The number of females in HR department = 790- (165 + 132 + 361 + 55) = 77
Therefore, the numbers of employees in the different departments are:
Difference = 266 - 165 = 101
Hence, this the correct answer.
