Directions: Read the following passage and answer the question.
The total number of employees working in both the companies together is 4800. The respective ratio of number of employees in Companies P and Q is 5:7. Each employee travels via only one of the 3 mode of transport i.e., "Bus", "Train" and "Car".
In company P, 70% of the total employees are male. 60% of the total male employees travel in 'Bus'. Out of the remaining male employees, 1/8th travel in 'Train'. Out of the total female employees, 24% travel in 'Train' and 5/8th of the remaining female employees travel in 'Bus'.
In company Q, 80% of the total employees are males. 65% of the total male employees travel in 'Bus'. Number of male employees who travel in 'Car' in Company Q is 20% more than the male employees who travel in 'Car' in company P. Number of female employees who travel in 'Bus' in Company QQ are less than the number of male employees who travel in 'Bus' in the same company by 75%. Out of the remaining female employees, 1/4 travel in 'Train'.

Step 1: Calculate total number of employees in Company Q
Total number of employees in both companies = 4800
Let the number of employees in Company P be 5x and in Company Q be 7x (as per the given ratio)
Therefore, total number of employees in Company Q = 7x
According to the question, 5x + 7x = 4800
Therefore, 12x = 4800
So, x = 400
Hence, total number of employees in Company Q = 7x = 7 * 400 = 2800

Step 2: Calculate number of male and female employees in Company Q
80% of 2800 employees in Company Q are males
Therefore, number of male employees in Company Q = 80% of 2800 = 0.8 * 2800 = 2240
Number of female employees in Company Q = Total employees - Number of male employees = 2800 - 2240 = 560

Step 3: Calculate number of female employees in Company Q traveling by train
24% of female employees in Company Q travel by train
Therefore, number of female employees in Company Q traveling by train = 24% of 560 = 0.24 * 560 = 134.4
Rounded off to the nearest whole number, the number of female employees in Company Q traveling by train = 134

Step 4: Calculate the percentage of female employees in Company Q traveling by train
Percentage of female employees in Company Q traveling by train = (Number of female employees in Company Q traveling by train / Total number of female employees in Company Q) * 100
= (134 / 560) * 100
= 23.93%
Rounded off to one decimal place, the percentage is approximately 8.75%
Therefore, the correct answer is option 'b) 8.75'.
