Limiting Molar Conductivity of Oxalic Acid

Given data:
- Limiting equivalent conductivity of Na2C2O4 = 400 ohm inverse centimeter square equivalent inverse
- Limiting molar conductance of H2SO4 = 700 ohm inverse centimeter square mol inverse
- Limiting equivalent conductance of Na2SO4 = 450 ohm inverse centimetre square equivalent inverse

Calculation:
1. Calculate the equivalent conductance of Na2C2O4:
- Equivalent conductance = limiting equivalent conductivity / concentration of the electrolyte
- Na2C2O4 dissociates into 3 ions (2Na+ and C2O42-), so its concentration is halved
- Therefore, equivalent conductance = 400 / (1/2) = 800 ohm inverse centimeter square equivalent inverse

2. Calculate the equivalent conductance of Na2SO4:
- Na2SO4 dissociates into 3 ions (2Na+ and SO42-), so its equivalent conductance is three times its limiting equivalent conductance
- Equivalent conductance = 450 x 3 = 1350 ohm inverse centimeter square equivalent inverse

3. Calculate the molar conductivity of H2SO4:
- Molar conductivity = limiting molar conductance / number of ions
- H2SO4 dissociates into 2 ions (H+ and SO42-), so its molar conductivity is half its limiting molar conductance
- Molar conductivity = 700 / 2 = 350 ohm inverse centimeter square mol inverse

4. Calculate the molar conductivity of oxalic acid:
- Oxalic acid dissociates into 3 ions (2H+ and C2O42-), so its molar conductivity is three times the equivalent conductance of Na2C2O4 divided by the molar conductivity of H2SO4
- Molar conductivity = (800 x 3) / 350 = 6.86 ohm inverse centimeter square mol inverse

Conclusion:
The limiting molar conductivity of oxalic acid is 6.86 ohm inverse centimeter square mol inverse.
