Phenol + Formaldehyde produces Bakelite, which is thermosetting due to highly cross-linked polymer chains.
Though p-cresol with formaldehyde (HCHO) produces phenol-formaldehyde based polymer, but methyl group at para position in phenol prevents cross-linking of polymer chains which causes polymer to become fusible.
In options (3) and (4), nylon-6 and Dacron are produced, respectively and these are thermoplastics.
