Continuous wars and mismanagement by the company officials led to the British Parliament passing various Acts regarding the administration of the company in England and India. For this purpose, for the first time, the Regulating Act of 1773 was passed. The benefits of the British Administration could be seen in the maintenance of peace and order, belief in liberty, and ushering in the process of modernization.
