Statement (i): Oxytocin is a milk let-down hormone.
Oxytocin is indeed a hormone involved in milk let-down or milk ejection. During breastfeeding, oxytocin is released from the posterior pituitary gland in response to the suckling stimulus. It acts on the myoepithelial cells surrounding the alveoli (milk-producing cells) in the mammary glands, causing them to contract and expel milk into the ducts. Thus, statement (i) is correct.

Statement (ii): Progesterone causes strong constriction of the endometrium during pregnancy.
This statement is incorrect. Progesterone is a hormone primarily involved in preparing and maintaining the uterus for pregnancy. It promotes the growth and development of the endometrium, making it suitable for implantation of a fertilized egg. Progesterone also inhibits contractions of the uterine smooth muscles, preventing premature contractions and ensuring the maintenance of pregnancy. Therefore, it does not cause strong constriction of the endometrium during pregnancy. Thus, statement (ii) is incorrect.

Statement (iii): Relaxin causes strong contractions in the uterine myometrium during parturition.
This statement is also incorrect. Relaxin is a hormone produced by the corpus luteum during pregnancy. It helps to soften and relax the connective tissues of the pelvis and cervix, allowing for easier passage of the fetus during labor. However, relaxin does not directly cause strong contractions in the uterine myometrium. The main hormone responsible for uterine contractions during parturition is oxytocin, which is released in increasing amounts as labor progresses. Thus, statement (iii) is incorrect.

Therefore, the correct statement is (i) only, as oxytocin is indeed a milk let-down hormone.
