The angle between the electric lines of force and the equipotential surface is not always 45 degrees. The angle between the lines of force and the equipotential surface depends on the shape and configuration of the electric field. In general, the lines of force are perpendicular to the equipotential surfaces. So, if the equipotential surface is flat, the angle between the lines of force and the surface would be 90 degrees. However, if the equipotential surface is curved or irregular, the angle between the lines of force and the surface will vary.
