Eligibility Criteria for Electrical Engineering Optional Subject Exam
To appear for the Electrical Engineering optional subject exam in the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) civil services examination, candidates must fulfill certain eligibility criteria. These criteria are outlined below:

4. Number of Attempts:
Candidates belonging to the general category can appear for the UPSC civil services examination a maximum of six times. However, there are relaxations for candidates belonging to reserved categories. The number of attempts allowed for OBC candidates is nine, while SC/ST candidates can appear for the exam any number of times until they reach the upper age limit.
5. Other Requirements:
Candidates must ensure that they meet the physical and medical standards as specified by the UPSC. They must also possess good character and sound mental health.
