Option D is correct for above question bcoz if genes were tightly linked, there would be least chance of crossing over but in our question there is 50% chance of recombination which can't happen if genes are tightly linked

The nearer two genes are on a chromosome, the lower the chance of recombination between them, and the more likely they are to be inherited together. .The frequency of a single chromosomal crossover between 2 genes at the stage of meiosis is known as recombination frequency. In meiosis, crossover occurs at random positions; thus, the closely located genes show less chances of crossover.lesser the distance between 2 genes, the lesser the chances of recombination of them
