How many needed to get central government job through gate?
The fact is that getting a government job through GATE score is more difficult than securing a place in prestigious institutions like (IITs and IISc). Both are not so easily achieved but former is more difficult because competition is in the ratio of 1:300 or sometimes 1:500. GATE score is calculated for 1000 ( like percentile) and PSUs and others demand a minimum of 800/1000(without reservation) and sometimes even high depending on the vacancies. The paper which we attempt is for 100 marks and GATE score depends on how many attempt the exam and what are the highest marks. To be at safe side i say 65+ marks should be achieved for getting shortlisted for interview of any PSU. And the final selection is solely based on your performance in interview.ALL THE BEST :)
