Yes both (relaxin nd oxytocin) help in parturation but fxn is little meaningly diff- (oxytocin) stimulate the rapid (contraction nd expansion in non- stripated muscle of( uterine wall )at last moment of gestation period on other hand (relaxin )-help in softening of (pubic symphysis) for easy and safe delivery also (increase cardiac output )nd in short make necessary changes for parturation. second part( oxytocin)- helps in milk (ejection )by contraction in myoepithelial cells at sides of alveoli of mammary glands (prolactin)-helps in lactation( milk formation) after delivery..

The two main actions of oxytocinin the body are contraction of the womb (uterus) during childbirth and lactation. Oxytocinstimulates the uterine muscles to contract and also increases production of prostaglandins, which increase the contractions further.
