Explanation:

Key Observation:
- A recent campaign to save bats achieved a measure of success only after a cartoon bat was adopted as the mascot of the local football team.

Explanation:
This observation is crucial because it provides a direct comparison to the situation with the toads. By highlighting the success of a campaign to save bats through the adoption of a cartoon bat as a mascot, it demonstrates that public perception and engagement can be positively influenced by creating a more likable or relatable image for the animals in need of protection.

Relevance to the Expert's Campaign:
- This observation strengthens the expert's opinion by showing that a creative approach, such as using a mascot, can generate enthusiasm and support for conservation efforts. It suggests that people may be more willing to engage with and support campaigns for animals they may initially find unappealing if a more positive or engaging image is associated with them.

Implications:
- The expert could potentially consider developing a similar strategy for the toad conservation campaign, such as creating a likable character or using creative marketing techniques to change public perception and garner support for the cause.
In conclusion, the success of the bat campaign through the use of a cartoon mascot provides valuable insight and support for the expert's efforts to protect toads, suggesting that a similar approach could be effective in generating public interest and support for the conservation of these animals.

We are looking for something to strengthen the idea that people are unenthusiastic about campaigns related to animals that are not viewed in a positive light. Answer B relates a similar situation in which people were unenthusiastic about a creature until it was seen in a new (presumably positive) way. Giving a similar example is one way to support an argument, and it is the best option available here.
