Seminal plasma, the fluid part of semen is contributed by:(i) Seminal ...
The male accessory glands include paired seminal vesicles, a prostate and paired bulb urethral glands. Secretions of these glands constitute the seminal plasma which is rich in fructose, calcium and certain enzymes. The secretions of bulbourethral glands also helps in the lubrication of the penis. Urethra is the duct that extends through the penis in male reproductive system and serve a common passage for both sperm and urine. In female, urethra has no reproductive function.

Seminal plasma, the fluid part of semen is contributed by:(i) Seminal ...
Seminal plasma is the fluid part of semen, which is a mixture of secretions from various accessory glands and organs. The correct answer for the contribution of seminal plasma is option (c) i.e. (i), (ii) and (iv). Let's discuss each gland's contribution in detail.

Contribution of Seminal Vesicle:
The seminal vesicle is a paired gland located at the base of the bladder. It secretes a thick, yellowish fluid that constitutes about 60% of the seminal plasma volume. The fluid is rich in fructose, prostaglandins, and other substances that provide energy to the sperm and enhance their motility.

Contribution of Prostate:
The prostate gland is a single gland that surrounds the urethra just below the bladder. It secretes a thin, milky fluid that constitutes about 30% of the seminal plasma volume. The fluid contains enzymes, citric acid, and prostate-specific antigen (PSA), which help to liquefy the semen after ejaculation.

Contribution of Bulbourethral Gland:
The bulbourethral gland (Cowper's gland) is a paired gland located beneath the prostate gland. It secretes a clear, viscous fluid that lubricates the urethra and neutralizes any residual urine in the urethra before ejaculation. The fluid constitutes about 5% of the seminal plasma volume.

Contribution of Urethra:
The urethra, which is the common passage for both urine and semen, also contributes to the seminal plasma. The secretions from the urethral glands and the epithelial cells lining the urethra constitute about 5% of the seminal plasma volume.

Conclusion:
In summary, the seminal plasma is a complex mixture of secretions from various accessory glands and organs. The seminal vesicle, prostate gland, and bulbourethral gland contribute to the majority of the seminal plasma volume, while the urethra contributes a small fraction. Therefore, the correct answer is option (c) i.e. (i), (ii) and (iv).
