Verified Answer
A can do a piece of work in 90 days, B in 40 days and C in 12 days. Th...
Work done by A in 1 day = 1/90
Work done by B in 1 day = 1/40
Work done by C in 1 day = 1/12
Work done in 3 days = 1/90 + 1/40 + 1/12 = 43/360
in 8 * 3 = 24 days , work completed = 8 * 43/360 = 344/360
Remaining work = 1 - 344/360 = 16/360
in 25th day, A works and completes 1/90 work .
Remaining work = 16/360 - 1/90 = 12/360
in 26th day, B works and completes 1/40 work .
Remaining work = 12/360 - 1/40 = 1/120
in 27th day, C works and completes this entire 1/120 work
A worked 9 days by doing 1/90 work each day. Total work done by A = 9 * 1/90 = 1/10
B worked 9 days by doing 1/40 work each day. Total work done by B = 9 * 1/40 = 9/40
C worked 9 days by doing 1/12 work in the initial 8 days and 1/120 work in the 9th day.
Total work done by C = 8 * 1/12 + 1/120 = 81/120
Work done by A : Work done by B : Work done by C
= 1/10 : 9/40 : 81/120
= 12 : 27 : 81
Total amount that they get = 240
Amount that A get = 240 * 12/(12+27+81) = Rs.24

LCM of 90,40,12 is 360 units
A worked in a day 360/90= 4units
B worked in a day 360/40=9units
C worked in a day 360/12=30units
for every 3days A+B+C =43units is completed
to complete the work=360/43=8cycles are required
for 3 mem =8×3=24 days (total days)
A completed 8×4units =32units work in 8 days
B completed 8×9 units =72 units work in 8 days
C completed 8×30 units =240 units work in 8 days
total amount =240
A got 240×32/32+72+240=24 approximately

A can do a piece of work in 90 days, B in 40 days and C in 12 days. Th...
Given:
A can do a piece of work in 90 days
B can do a piece of work in 40 days
C can do a piece of work in 12 days
They work for a day each in turn
They get Rs 240 for this job

To find:
The amount A will get

Solution:
Let the total work be 360 units (LCM of 90, 40, and 12)
So, A can do 4 units of work in a day (360/90)
B can do 9 units of work in a day (360/40)
C can do 30 units of work in a day (360/12)

They work in the following order for each cycle:
Day 1: A (4 units)
Day 2: B (9 units)
Day 3: C (30 units)
Total work done in a cycle = 4 + 9 + 30 = 43 units

They need to work for 360 units, so the number of cycles required = 360/43 = 8 cycles
In the 8 cycles, A will work for 8 days and complete 32 units of work (4x8)
B will work for 8 days and complete 72 units of work (9x8)
C will work for 8 days and complete 240 units of work (30x8)

Total amount earned by A, B, and C together = Rs 240
Let the amount earned by A be x
Then, the amount earned by B will be 2.25x (9/4 times of A, as B does 9 units of work in a day and A does 4 units)
And the amount earned by C will be 7.5x (30/4 times of A, as C does 30 units of work in a day and A does 4 units)

Total amount earned by A, B, and C together in one cycle = x + 2.25x + 7.5x = 11.75x
Total amount earned by A, B, and C together in 8 cycles = 11.75x x 8 = 94x

As the total amount earned by A, B, and C together is Rs 240, we have:

94x = 240
x = 240/94 = 2.55

Therefore, the amount A will get = x = Rs 2.55

Answer:
The amount A will get is Rs 2.55, which is approximately equal to Rs 24.
