Residual volume isa)Greater than inspiratory volumeb)Greater than tida...
Residual volume refers to the amount of air that remains in the lungs even after a maximal exhalation. It is the volume of air that cannot be expelled from the lungs.

Explanation:

- Residual volume is the volume of air that stays in the lungs after a maximal exhalation. It is the minimum amount of air that must remain in the lungs to prevent the collapse of the lungs.
- Tidal volume is the amount of air that is inhaled and exhaled during normal breathing. It is the volume of air that is moved in and out of the lungs during a single breath.
- Therefore, residual volume is greater than tidal volume because residual volume represents the air that remains in the lungs after a maximal exhalation, whereas tidal volume refers to the air that is moved in and out of the lungs during a single breath.

Other options:

- Inspiratory volume refers to the amount of air that is inhaled during a deep breath. Residual volume is greater than inspiratory volume.
- Vital capacity refers to the maximum amount of air that can be exhaled after a maximal inhalation. Residual volume is less than vital capacity.

Yes options B is correct... actually the pressure of residual volume is 1100 ml to 1200 ml when compare to this inspiratory volume is higher than that and vital capacity is come out of the calculation so it won't identify ..but the tidal volume is 500 ml only..so it's greater than tidal volume answer is correct...hope u clear..!!👍👍
