Tracheids and vessels are two type of xylem tissue. The main difference between them is that tracheids are long elongated cells due to the presence of perforation at the end plate while vessels are short and wider cells. Key Differences •Tracheids are mainly found in pteridophyte and gymnosperm while vessels are predominantly seen in angiosperms. •Tracheids produce from individual cell while vessels originate from continuous pack of cells. •Tracheids have a narrow diameter while vessels have wider diameter. •Tracheids have long elongated pits but are little in number while in vessels the pits are multiple but small. •Tracheids have imperforated cells thus keeps the sap longer in them while vessels are highly perforated. •Vessels have various types of perforations. •As there is no perforation in tracheids the cells are less sufficient for transportation while vessels are more sufficient in carrying the sap. •Tracheids have narrow lumen and thick walls while vessels wall are less thick and wider lumen is present. •Average length of tracheids is 1 millimeter while vessels can grow up to 10 centimeter.so I think the answer is c
