Haemophilia
It is sex-linked disease which is also known as bleeder’s disease as the patient will continue to bleed even from a minor cut since he or she does not possess the natural phenomenon of blood clotting due to absence of antihaemophiliac globulin or factor VIII (haemophilia-A) and plasma thromboplastin factor IX (haemophilia-B, Christmas disease) essential for it.

As a result of continuous bleeding, the patient may die of blood loss. There is no permanent cure of the disease. However, transfusion of normal blood checks bleeding because it provides the vital factors for blood clotting. Antihaemophiliac globulin is also available for use in haemophilia A.

Haemophilia is an X linked recessive disease.... If the gene is present on both the X chromosome the female dies very early.... Since it is a recessive disease the heterozygous would survive but females(because they only possess 2 X chromosome) it is fatal for them... Thats why it is female sex disorder

Haemophilia is a mostly inherited genetic disorder that impairs the body's ability to make blood clots, a process needed to stop bleeding. This results in people bleeding longer after an injury, easy bruising, and an increased risk of bleeding inside joints or the brain.

Treatment: Replace missing blood clotting factors

Causes: Usually genetic

Symptoms: Easy and prolonged bleeding

Frequency: 1 in 7,500 males (haemophilia A), 1 in 40,000 males (haemophilia B)
