Refer to the data below and answer the questions that follow.There is ...
Distance travelled by Sagar and Sapna:

- Sagar travels the entire distance of Mumbai to Delhi, which is 1500 km.
- Sapna travels in the car for VA h at a speed of 60 km/h, covering a distance of 60VA km.
- After that, she travels in the truck for half an hour at a speed of 45 km/h, covering a distance of 22.5 km.
- The remaining distance to Delhi on the road is 200 km, but she takes a shorter route of only 100 km, which she covers at a speed of 30 km/h.

Total distance travelled by Sapna = 60VA + 22.5 + 100 = 60VA + 122.5 km

Time taken by Sagar and Sapna:

- Sagar's time taken = Distance / Speed = 1500 / 40 = 37.5 hours
- Sapna's time taken = (VA + 0.5) + (100 / 30) = VA + 3.33 hours

If there was no snag in the car, Sapna would have taken the same time as Sagar, i.e., VA + 3.33 = 37.5

VA = 34.17 hours

Distance covered by Sapna without snag:

- Distance covered by Sapna = 60VA + 122.5 = 60 x 34.17 + 122.5 = 2174.2 km

Distance covered by Sagar = 1500 km

Sapna's lead over Sagar = 2174.2 - 1500 = 674.2 km

Therefore, Sapna would have defeated Sagar by a distance of 303 km (approx) if there was no snag in the car.
