Acc to me, if you follow some sample papers for board exams, then it will help you to fetch marks and to understand the concept superficially. but if you want to crack neet as the first attempt, then you have to labour hard for both, that, to clear your all concepts and to fetch marks. and if you follow some books for entrance, then it will help you in both the ways..

Best is NCERT..especially for biology and inorganic organic chemistry. practice as many questions as u can. Whether u belong to a CBSE or ICSE or any state board u have to mug up NCERT thoroughly.I hope this helps.
