Fabric X has to go through three stages of manufacturing, viz., spinni...
Solution:

Given:
Number of spinning machines = 6
Number of weaving machines = 10
Number of dyeing machines = 5
Working hours per day per machine = 10
Time required for Fabric Y:
Spinning machine = 60 minutes
Weaving machine = 30 minutes
Dyeing machine = 60 minutes

Let's calculate the time taken to manufacture one unit of Fabric Y:
Time taken = (60/60) + (30/60) + (60/60) = 2.5 hours

As each machine works for 10 hours a day, the total working hours per machine per day = 10*60 = 600 minutes

Let's calculate the maximum number of units of Fabric Y that can be completed in a day:
Time required to complete one unit of Fabric Y = 2.5 hours = 150 minutes
Maximum number of units of Fabric Y that can be completed in a day = (total working hours per day per machine)/(time required to complete one unit of Fabric Y)
= (600)/(150)
= 4

Therefore, the maximum number of units of Fabric Y that can be completed in a day = 4*10 (as there are 10 machines of each type)
= 40

Hence, the correct option is (b) 30.
