Answer is (c) prior to fission. in bacteria though true sexual reproduction is not there , they usually reproduce by asexual methods like binary fission. and the binary fission in bacteria is carried out by 3steps.1)replication of DNA 2) mesosome division & membrane formation 3) cross wall formation.
