A DNA have 10 nucleosomes find out the number of phospho diester bond ...
One nucleosome contains 200 base pair. So number of phospho diester bond in every strand is =(200-1), and total number is=199×2×10=3998. Total numbers of base =400.numbers of adenine and thymine is 60 each. So total numbers of H bonds=((60×2)+(140×3))×10=5400

Calculation of Phosphodiester Bond and Hydrogen Bond in DNA

Phosphodiester Bond
- A phosphodiester bond connects the phosphate group of one nucleotide to the sugar molecule of another nucleotide in DNA.
- The number of phosphodiester bonds in DNA can be calculated by multiplying the number of nucleotides by 2 (since each nucleotide has one phosphate group and two nucleotides are connected by one phosphodiester bond).
- The total number of nucleotides in the DNA can be calculated by multiplying the number of nucleosomes by 147 (since each nucleosome consists of 147 base pairs).
- Therefore, the total number of phosphodiester bonds in the DNA is:
10 nucleosomes x 147 base pairs/nucleosome x 2 phosphodiester bonds/base pair = 2940 phosphodiester bonds

Hydrogen Bond
- Hydrogen bonds are formed between complementary base pairs in DNA (A-T and C-G).
- The percentage of adenine (A) in the DNA is given as 15%, which means that the percentage of thymine (T) is also 15% (since A-T base pairs are complementary).
- The percentage of cytosine (C) can be calculated as 35% (since C-G base pairs are complementary and the sum of percentages of A, T, C, and G is 100%).
- The percentage of guanine (G) is also 35% (since C-G base pairs are complementary).
- The number of hydrogen bonds in DNA can be calculated by multiplying the number of base pairs by the number of hydrogen bonds per base pair (2 for A-T and 3 for C-G).
- The total number of base pairs in the DNA can be calculated by multiplying the number of nucleosomes by 147 (since each nucleosome consists of 147 base pairs).
- Therefore, the total number of hydrogen bonds in the DNA is:
10 nucleosomes x 147 base pairs/nucleosome x [(15% A x 15% T x 2 hydrogen bonds/base pair) + (35% C x 35% G x 3 hydrogen bonds/base pair)] = 5400 hydrogen bonds

Therefore, the correct answer is option (2) 3998 phosphodiester bonds and 5400 hydrogen bonds.
