If u r in frame of train there is equal acceleration on you and stone by train.. So both travel equal distance in equal interval of time in horizontal direction... That means it is in rest in horizontal direction... So it is case of stone falling simply with respect to man on ground and u know it will fall straight down.... Another way is applying pseudo force and then solve u will find a=0 in horizontal
