The noble gases are inert not reactive so they don't not form any ionic or covalent bond. the atomic radius is expressed in terms of Vanderwaal radius Because Vanderwaal radius is much larger than covalent or ionic radius ,the size of the elements 18th group is much larger than other elements in the same period.
