An amount of money is to be divided between P, Q and R in the ratio of...
Answer – C.(13200)
12a-7a = 3000
5a = 3000
a = 600
7a-4a = x

An amount of money is to be divided between P, Q and R in the ratio of...
Is Rs.Y, then find the value of X and Y.

Let the total amount of money be Rs. T.

Then, the shares of P, Q and R will be:

P's share = 3T/22
Q's share = 7T/22
R's share = 12T/22 = 6T/11

Given that the difference between P and Q's share is Rs. X:

7T/22 - 3T/22 = X
4T/22 = X
2T/11 = X

Therefore, X = 2T/11

Similarly, the difference between Q and R's share is Rs. Y:

12T/22 - 7T/22 = Y
5T/22 = Y

Therefore, Y = 5T/22

Hence, the value of X is 2T/11 and the value of Y is 5T/22.

An amount of money is to be divided between P, Q and R in the ratio of...
- The shares of P, Q, and R are in the ratio of 3:7:12. Let the common factor be 'a'.
- P's share = 3a, Q's share = 7a, R's share = 12a.
- The difference between Q and R's share is 3000: 12a - 7a = 3000, which gives 5a = 3000, so a = 600.
- Now, P's difference with Q: 7a - 3a = 4a = X. Thus, X = 2400.
- Total amount = 3a + 7a + 12a = 22a = 22 * 600 = 13200.
