I felt depressed or hopeless in most of the parts of my life. And now it has become an integral part of my life. Now I enjoy the pains that i get in every situation, because I think that these depressions are like clouds covering the moon which is temporary. So whenever I felt depressed I try to become the crow of the Robert Frost's poem ' Dust and Snow' that changes my mood into a happy one.

Similar Moments That Change Mood

In moments of depression or hopelessness, it is often the small moments or occurrences that can change one's mood for the better. One such instance could be related to the poem "Dust of Snow" by Robert Frost. This poem illustrates how a seemingly insignificant event can have a profound impact on an individual's state of mind.

Poem - Dust of Snow

The poem "Dust of Snow" describes a moment when the poet, feeling depressed, encounters a crow shaking off snow from a hemlock tree. The falling snow, which appears like a "dust of snow," is described as having a transformative effect on the poet's mood.

Key Points:
1. The poem consists of two stanzas, each comprising four lines.
2. In the first stanza, the poet describes his depressed state of mind, which is symbolized by "the way a crow shook down on me the dust of snow."
3. The crow's action of shaking the snow from the tree suggests a small, ordinary event that could go unnoticed.
4. However, the "dust of snow" that falls on the poet is portrayed as having a positive impact on his mood.
5. The second stanza reveals a change in the poet's perspective, as he states that this moment has "changed the mood of the day" for him.
6. The poem ends with the poet acknowledging the significance of the snowfall, as it has lifted his spirits and given him a renewed sense of hope.

Conclusion

The poem "Dust of Snow" emphasizes the transformative power of even the smallest moments in our lives. It suggests that in times of depression or hopelessness, it is crucial to remain open to the possibility of positive change, as even the most insignificant occurrences can have a profound impact on our mood and perspective.
