Here are a few tips and tricks for the preparation of Electric Engineering for SSC JE:

1. Know what to study:

The first step of the preparation process is to be thorough with the syllabus and pattern of the exam. Candidates should know the SSC JE exam pattern thoroughly. The exam pattern of SSC JE will help the candidates to know the complete scheme of examination in terms of number of questions, marks, mode of the paper, marking scheme, etc,.

Also, you must go through the syllabus for SSC JE before starting with the preparation. The syllabus will help the candidates to understand the priority and weight age of each topic under different sections. Candidates will also be able to gather the required study material with the help of SSC JE syllabus.

2. Make and follow a study plan:

Once you are familiar with the syllabus and exam pattern, you should prepare a time-table for the various topics included in Electrical engineering for SSC JE. Time management during preparation is really important as then, you will have enough time for every subject and no time constraints would arise. It is very important to follow a study plan as it will guide you through the entire preparation process.

3. Clear your Concepts:

You need to have a very strong fundamental knowledge of all the topics under Electrical engineering syllabus. The basic concepts must be clear before moving onto the higher level concepts. Concepts are to be understood, not mugged up. Once you clearly see each concept for what it is all about, you will be ready for the next step. Understand the concept in such a manner that you can visualize them.

4. Manage your Time:

You need a proper time management strategy during the preparation as you do not want to miss any topic just because of the lack of time. Time management applies not only to the time you take out to study but also on how you utilize those 4-5 hours every day. Try to come up with methods to solve questions faster so you wouldn’t be wasting a lot of time during the exam. This will help you answer all the questions within the allotted time.

5. Test and Evaluate:

Practice as many questions as possible for Electrical engineering. Practice with subject specific topic wise tests. Solve various mock tests to become perfect in the subject/topic. These mock tests will help you with speed and accuracy. It solely depends on aspirant to choose the questions to attempt and answer it correctly in given time. So candidates should practice time constrained quizzes, tests and Mock exams for best preparation.

6. Attempt Previous Year Papers:

Previous year papers and Mock tests help you know the pattern of the exam and also the type of questions you can expect. Evaluate your performance regularly with these SSC JE past year papers.  So, solve as many question papers as possible and get yourself prepared for the exam. Taking SSC JE Online Mock Tests will help you identify your level of preparation that how much you have prepared for the exam. It will also help you identify your weak areas. You will be able to identify your weak areas with this practice and hence, you will have time to work on them.

SSC JE Electrical Topic-wise Preparation Tips and Strategy:

It is necessary to cover the entire syllabus and have a strategy planned for every topic under Electrical Engineering. Here we throw light on how to prepare section-wise for SSC JE for those who have applied for Electrical Branch as Order of preference.

Network Theory:

Simple numerical type questions

The same model questions are asked every year

Practice as much as you can in order to get things right

Electrical Machines:

Theory based questions are asked here mostly.

Build your basics to answer the questions. Your basics should be very clear.

Numerical problems are simple and can be answered if you have strong basic knowledge of concepts.

Measurement and Measuring instruments:

The subject carries a weightage of 12% to 15% in the examination

Lots of Theory questions, hence easy to answer.

Questions in this section are quite predictable

Power systems:

Theory based questions

Not many questions in the exam from this section

Few but tricky questions are asked in this section.

Basic Electronics:

Most Electrical Engineers will ignore this section while preparation, but this section is where you can score a lot of marks as they are theory based questions and contain simple, direct formula based questions
