1. Know the syllabus and Pattern:
The first step in the preparation is to be very thorough with the syllabus for SSC Mechanical Engineering exam for the post of Junior Engineer(JE). You should know the pattern of questions asked. The syllabus will help you know what topics are easy for you and which might need some extra attention. But, make sure to cover all subjects and topics under Mechanical Engineering since you never know which subject will be asked for more marks.
2. Focus on Basic and Theoretical Concepts:
To be able to attempt all kinds of questions with ease during the exam, your basics need to be very strong. You will be able to learn the higher level concepts only when the fundamentals are clear. The SSC JE Paper I exam will be of 2 hour. So try to save your time from the Technical Section (i.e Mechanical part) & use it in Reasoning section as it will help you to fetch more marks.
