Three identical rings move with the same speed on a horizontal surface...
EMF induced is same in all cases because it does not depend on the spin of the object, it only depends on the linear motion and area, which is same in all cases.

Three identical rings move with the same speed on a horizontal surface...
Explanation:

When a ring moves in a magnetic field, an electromotive force (emf) is induced in the ring due to the magnetic field. The magnitude of the induced emf depends on the relative motion between the ring and the magnetic field.

Different Types of Motion:

1. The first ring slips without rolling: In this case, the point of contact between the ring and the surface is stationary with respect to the surface. Therefore, the relative motion between the ring and the magnetic field is only due to the translational motion of the ring. As a result, an emf is induced in the ring.

2. The second ring rolls without slipping: In this case, the point of contact between the ring and the surface is stationary with respect to the surface. Additionally, the ring is also rotating about its center. The relative motion between the ring and the magnetic field is due to both the translational and rotational motion of the ring. However, since the point of contact is stationary, the velocity of the ring at that point is zero. Therefore, the induced emf at the point of contact is zero. However, there is still an induced emf in the rest of the ring due to its translational and rotational motion.

3. The third ring rolls with slipping: In this case, the point of contact between the ring and the surface is not stationary with respect to the surface. The relative motion between the ring and the magnetic field is due to both the translational and rotational motion of the ring. The induced emf in this case is similar to the second ring, but it is distributed throughout the ring.

Conclusion:

Since the first and third rings have the same speed, their induced emf will be the same. However, the second ring will have a higher induced emf because it has both translational and rotational motion, while the point of contact remains stationary. Therefore, option B is the correct answer - the same emf is induced in all three rings.
