Let the investment of Rohit and Sharan is 3 : 2
Since the investment is for same time for both so the ratio of the shares of Rohit and Sharan will be in ratio of their investment
Let their shares be 3x and 2x
Let the total profit be 100x
According to the question,
5% of the profit goes to charity
So now the remaining profit is 95x
⇒ (3/5) × 95x = 4275
⇒ 57x = 4275
⇒ x = 4275/57 = 75
∴ Total profit is 75 × 100 = Rs. 7500
