Calculating the moles of HCl:
To determine the pH of the solution, we need to first calculate the number of moles of HCl that were present in the solution before the current was passed through it.

n = CV = 1M x 1L = 1 mole of HCl

Calculating the number of electrons passed during electrolysis:
Using Faraday's law of electrolysis, we can calculate the number of electrons passed during the electrolysis process.

Q = It = 10A x 965s = 9650 C

n(e-) = Q/F = 9650 C / 96485 C/mol = 0.100 mol of electrons

Calculating the new concentration of HCl:
During the electrolysis process, HCl is oxidized to form chlorine gas and water. The new concentration of HCl can be calculated by subtracting the moles of electrons from the initial moles of HCl.

n(HCl) = 1 mole - 0.100 mole = 0.900 mole of HCl

C(HCl) = n(HCl) / V = 0.900 mole / 1 L = 0.900 M

Calculating the concentration of Cl2:
Since HCl is oxidized to form Cl2, the concentration of Cl2 can also be calculated.

n(Cl2) = 0.100 mole of electrons / 2 = 0.050 mole of Cl2

C(Cl2) = n(Cl2) / V = 0.050 mole / 1 L = 0.050 M

Determining the pH of the solution:
The pH of the solution can be determined using the following equation:

pH = -log[H+]

[H+] can be calculated from the concentration of HCl using the following equation:

[H+] = C(HCl)

[H+] = 0.900 M

pH = -log(0.900) = 0.045

Therefore, the pH of the solution at the end of the experiment is 0.045.

Explanation:
During the electrolysis process, HCl is oxidized to form Cl2 gas and water. The number of moles of electrons passed during the electrolysis process can be calculated using Faraday's law of electrolysis. Using this information, we can calculate the new concentrations of HCl and Cl2. The pH of the solution can be determined using the concentration of H+.
