Solution:

Given, the daily average wages of 20 illiterate employees is decreased from Rs. 25 to Rs. 10. Let the number of educated employees be x and their average salary be y.

When the daily average wages of the illiterate employees is decreased from Rs. 25 to Rs. 10, the average salary of all the employees is decreased by Rs. 10 per day.

Let the total number of employees be 20 + x.

∴ (20 × 25 + xy)/ (20 + x) - (20 × 10 + xy)/ (20 + x) = 10

Simplifying the equation, we get

=> 500 - 200 - 10x = 10(20 + x)

=> -10x + 300 = 10x + 200

=> 20x = 100

=> x = 5

Therefore, the number of educated employees working in the NGO is 20.

Hence, the correct option is B.

My answer is option 'C'.
Let no.of literates be 'X'
no.of illiterates are 20
Total employees =x+20
Decrease in salary = RS.25-RS.10
=RS.15
Total decrease = no.of illiterates × decreased per employee
=20×15
=RS.300
Average decrease = Total decrease/ total no.of employees
=300/(x+20)
given average decrease = 10
so
10=300/(x+20)
10(x+20)=300
x+20=30
x=30-20=10
