A shopkeeper mixes 240 kg of cheaper rice at the rate of Rs.15 per kg ...
Given Data:
- Cheaper rice price: Rs.15 per kg
- Costly rice price: Rs.25 per kg
- Selling price of the mixture: Rs.26 per kg
- Profit percentage: 30%
- Total quantity of cheaper rice: 240 kg

Solution:
Let x be the quantity of costly rice mixed with the cheaper one.

Calculating Cost Price:
- Cost price of cheaper rice = Rs.15/kg
- Cost price of costly rice = Rs.25/kg
Total cost price = Cost price of cheaper rice + Cost price of costly rice
Total cost price = 240*15 + x*25

Calculating Selling Price and Profit:
- Selling price of the mixture = Rs.26/kg
- Profit percentage = 30% = 0.30
Total selling price = Total cost price + Profit
Total selling price = (240*15 + x*25)*(1 + 0.30)

Equating Cost and Selling Price:
(240*15 + x*25)*(1.30) = 240*26
Solving the above equation, we get:
(3600 + 25x)*1.30 = 6240
4680 + 32.5x = 6240
32.5x = 1560
x = 1560/32.5
x = 48
Therefore, the quantity of costly rice mixed with the cheaper one is 240 kg.
