Capacity of condenser A = 10μF
Voltage of battery = 100V
Common potential = 40V
Capacity of condenser B = ?

We know that the charge on a capacitor is given by Q = CV, where Q is the charge, C is the capacitance and V is the voltage.

Charging of capacitor A:
Q = CV
where,
C = 10μF
V = 100V
Q = 10μF x 100V
Q = 1000μC

Now, the charge on capacitor A is 1000μC.

Discharging of capacitor A and Charging of capacitor B:
After disconnecting the battery, the capacitors A and B are connected in parallel.
Charge on capacitor A = Charge on capacitor B
Qa = Qb
10μF x 100V = Cb x (100V - 40V)
Cb = 6μF

Therefore, the capacity of capacitor B is 6μF, which is option (b).
