Given:
Vapour pressure of liquid P = 80 torr
Vapour pressure of liquid Q = 60 torr
Moles of P = 3
Moles of Q = 2

To find:
Total vapour pressure of the solution obtained by mixing P and Q

Solution:
The total vapour pressure of a solution can be calculated using Raoult's law which states that the vapour pressure of a solution is equal to the sum of the partial pressures of each component in the solution.

Partial pressure of P = Moles of P / Total moles of solution * Vapour pressure of P
Partial pressure of P = 3 / (3 + 2) * 80 = 48 torr

Partial pressure of Q = Moles of Q / Total moles of solution * Vapour pressure of Q
Partial pressure of Q = 2 / (3 + 2) * 60 = 24 torr

Total vapour pressure of the solution = Partial pressure of P + Partial pressure of Q
Total vapour pressure of the solution = 48 + 24 = 72 torr

Therefore, the correct option is (c) 72 torr.
