    Given data:
    - Three-phase, 50 Hz, 4-pole induction motor
    - No-load slip = 1%
    - Full load slip = 5%

To find: % speed regulation of the motor

    Formula:
% speed regulation = (Noload speed – Full load speed) / Full load speed x 100

    Calculation:
    - Number of poles = 4
    - Synchronous speed = (120 x Frequency) / Number of poles
    = (120 x 50) / 4
    = 1500 rpm

    At no-load:
    - Slip = 1%
    - Actual speed = (1 - Slip) x Synchronous speed
    = (1 - 0.01) x 1500
    = 1485 rpm

    At full load:
    - Slip = 5%
    - Actual speed = (1 - Slip) x Synchronous speed
    = (1 - 0.05) x 1500
    = 1425 rpm

% speed regulation = (Noload speed – Full load speed) / Full load speed x 100
    = (1485 - 1425) / 1425 x 100
    = 4.21%

Therefore, the % speed regulation of the motor is 4.21%.
