Selective absorption and secretion takes place in DCT(distal convulated tubule) to maintain the pH of the blood. It helps to regulate blood pH by reabsorption of bicarbonate ions.A large number of Na+ and Cl- ions are reabsorbed and ammonia and H+ions are secreted. This maintains the pH of blood as well as Na-K balance in blood. so, option c is correct.
