What are the differences between mirror and a lens?
Mirror:
1.This works on the principle of reflection.
2. These are manufactured using materials other than glass or clear plastic
3. An ideal mirror reflects 100% of light.
4. The uses of mirror can be seen in houses, automobiles, solar appliances etc
5. There are two types: concave and convex.
6. Plane mirrors does not have a focal point.
Lens :
1. This works on the principle of refraction
2. These are manufactured using materials made up of glass or clear plastic
3. An ideal lense refracts 100% of light
4. The uses of lenses can be seen in astronomy and scientific industries, medical and research purposes etc
5.There are of six types of lenses
6. It has two focal points for each kind of lense
What are the differences between mirror and a lens?
1. one side of mirror is polished but lens have not.
2. mirror follows law of reflection but lens follows law of refraction.
3. mirror are of two types plane and spherical but lens have always curved at bothor either sides.
