A: The generative cell comes to lie freely in the cytoplasm of the tub...
And Reason are true and Reason is the correct explanation of Assertion.

Explanation: The generative cell is a small cell that is produced within the pollen grain. During the process of double fertilization, the generative cell divides to form two sperm cells. In order for the sperm cells to be released and fertilize the egg cell, the generative cell must come to lie freely in the cytoplasm of the tube cell. This is because the tube cell is the structure that grows through the style of the flower and delivers the sperm cells to the ovary.

The cellulosic wall around the generative cell is dissolved in order for the generative cell to be released from the pollen grain and move freely in the cytoplasm of the tube cell. This allows the generative cell to be transported to the ovary where it can fertilize the egg cell.

Therefore, both the assertion and reason are true and the reason is the correct explanation of the assertion.
