Given-
Since 6 Ω and 8 Ω resistors are connected in parallel, therefore the voltage across them is the same i.e. 48 V.
Current through 6 Ω resistor = 48/6 A
= 8 A
Current through 8 Ω resistor = 48/8 A
= 6 A
Total current entering the circuit i = (8+6) A
i = 14 A
