The human body do not undergo mitosis?

There are several types of cells in the human body that do not undergo mitosis:

1. Neurons - the cells that make up the nervous system do not divide. Once they are fully developed, they remain in a non-dividing state throughout life.

2. Muscle cells - skeletal and cardiac muscle cells are multinucleated and cannot divide.

3. Red blood cells - erythrocytes have no nucleus and therefore cannot undergo mitosis.

4. Platelets - like red blood cells, platelets are anuclear and cannot divide.

5. Matured cells of the skin - Once skin cells reach the surface of the skin, they die and flake off. These cells cannot undergo mitosis.

6. Liver cells - hepatocytes can undergo mitosis, but they are mainly in a non-dividing state.

7. Pancreatic cells - cells that produce digestive enzymes in the pancreas do not undergo mitosis.

8. Oocytes - female germ cells are arrested in meiosis until ovulation, and then only one egg cell is released each menstrual cycle.
